Sri Lanka has been severely affected by recent catastrophic weather conditions caused by Cyclone ‘Ditwah’. Devastating floods and landslides have destroyed or damaged many homes, leaving families without shelter. Many citizens have also lost their livelihoods, making recovery even more challenging.

Is it a must to use the SWIFT network to send donations?
No.
It is possible to use fund transfer mechanisms available in your country of residence (eg. Payment Apps)
SWIFT information is provided in case it is required for large value donations.
How can I receive an acknowledgement for my donation?
Please ensure to mention your name in the fund transfer instruction when making your donation. After completing the payment, kindly email an image of the payment confirmation along with the payment date to CBSL through fdacc@cbsl.lk. Once the funds are credited to the respective account and reconciled with your payment confirmation, you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail confirming receipt of your donation.
If you have already sent your donation, please inform us the bank name, date of the remittance, amount and any reference or your name for us to make a possible match to acknowledge.
What will happen to the funds after the CBSL receives them?
All funds will be credited to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund’.
