Central Bank of Sri Lanka - Sixth International Research Conference 2013

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is organizing its sixth International Research Conference to be held at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, on 12 December 2013.

Call for Papers:
The conference will provide a forum to present recent theoretical and empirical research for researchers in Central Banks/Monetary Authorities and Universities; and to facilitate the exchange of views among researchers and policymakers. This conference aims at stimulating innovative research for the analysis of current policy issues. 

Researchers are invited to submit original papers that discuss issues related to macroeconomic stability and financial system stability. In particular, we encourage research related to the following areas:

  1. Monetary theory and policy
  2. Exchange rate dynamics
  3. Macroprudential policies
  4. Recent trends in capital flows and their implications
  5. Global liquidity and credit risk
  6. Financial markets
  7. Volatility modeling
  8. DSGE/business cycle modeling
  9. Financial crises

Important Dates:

Abstract submission:                                               June 7, 2013
Notification of acceptance of abstract:                  July 5, 2013
Paper submission:                                                   October 4, 2013
Notification of acceptance:                                     November 1, 2013
 

Submission of Abstracts and Papers:
Interested researchers should submit an abstract (about 500 words) along with a Curriculum Vitae to the Coordinator, International Research Conference, Economic Research Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka in both print, and electronic form via e-mail to directorerd@cbsl.lk (with a copy to sumila@cbsl.lk). If researchers represent any institution, the completed papers should be authenticated by a relevant authority.

Expenses:
